A Look at the Notre Dame Football 2021 Recruiting Class

Winona State University alumnus Mike Loftus is a Chicago, Illinois area entrepreneur who has served as president of MLE Merchandising & Sign Solutions, Inc., since 2002. Headquartered in Elmhurst, IL, MLE employs more than 100 people in 14 states. When he isn’t working to grow the brand service business, Mike Loftus enjoys watching professional and college sports. He counts the Notre Dame Fighting Irish as his favorite college football team.

The Fighting Irish was ranked as the No. 2 team in the country by the Associated Press as of December 1, 2020. There’s reason to believe Notre Dame will also field a competitive team in 2021 as its recruiting class for that year was recently ranked 10th by Sports Illustrated (SI) All-American. The team’s class includes 19 players, four of which – Tyler Buchner, Cane Berrong, Blake Fisher, and Gabriel Rubio – were listed as SI99 prospects by the publication.

Buchner is a dual-threat quarterback who was ranked as the fourth-best player at his position by Rivals. Berrong, meanwhile, was ranked as the top tight end recruit in the nation by SI All-American. Fisher and Rubio play on the offensive line and defensive line, respectively. SI All-American also listed linebacker Prince Kollie and EDGE David Abiara as potential standout players in the recruiting class.
